MARIO KART 8 DELUXE TRACK TIER LIST
My friends and I greatly enjoy Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and I'd go so far as to say that it's my favorite in the series—though there are certainly advocates for Double Dash in our group. With the release of the Deluxe version for Nintendo Switch, a whole 48 new and returning courses were added in the form of DLC. Given the sheer number of courses in the game and the end of the DLC waves, I figured it was time to give some thought to what my favorite courses are. At the bottom of the list sits every course that came from Mario Kart Tour. This may seem harsh, and some of the courses are fine, but over all the plastic art style and confusing nature of the courses makes them the sole reason I detest random select. Also in this tier are Baby Park and Grumble Volcano, the former of which is just not interesting in the slightest, and the latter of which consistently frustrates me when the course changes each lap. Notable favorites include Wild Woods as my favortie MK8 course for its magical backing track and mystical aesthetic, Squeaky Clean Sprint as my favorite MK8 DLC course for its charming design and layered secrets, and Music Park as my favorite returning course as I spent countelss hours with it in Mario Kart 7's time trials.
